Quality in the fresh produce business is not a single inspection at the end of the line — it is a discipline applied at every stage, starting long before a fruit or vegetable is picked. At Ands International, we work backwards from the customer to build a process that protects freshness at every handoff.

It Starts at the Farm

We partner with growers who follow recognised agricultural practices, from soil management to responsible use of crop protection. Produce is harvested at the right stage of maturity for its destination market, so it arrives ripe and ready rather than under or over-ripe.

Sorting, Grading and Cold Chain

Once harvested, produce is sorted and graded by size, colour and condition, with anything below standard removed before it ever reaches a crate bound for shipment. From there, temperature-controlled storage and transport keep the cold chain unbroken from farm to port to destination.

Checks That Never Stop

Our quality team performs spot checks at every transfer point — packing, loading and final dispatch — so problems are caught early rather than discovered by a customer. It is this layered approach, not a single checkpoint, that lets us stand behind the produce we bring in from around the world.
